About a year and a half ago, The Science Museum commissioned me to shoot, direct and edit 21 short documentaries to be displayed in a forthcoming exhibition on the history and practice of medicine they were putting together with the Wellcome collection. I ran all over the country with a very heavy camera shooting little documentaries and explainers, and learned a whole lot about science, as well as hearing some very moving stories. Now the films are up and the gallery is amazing. I'm not going to lie, I definitely underestimated how good it would be. Incredibly well curated, science and artefacts alongside artworks and personal stories (which many of the films I made are about). Massive thanks to everyone who featured in the films, your faces and my filming and editing mistakes are going to be in that gallery for 25 years!! We'll probably all be underwater by the time they take it down! Yay! |
