For the last 6 months I have worked with Peckham Platform to document several works of public art and multiple talks and events.
Rye Lane Reconnected is a community-led creative programme supporting engagement and collaboration between leading social artists, residents and frontline community groups to collaboratively commission and create artworks for Peckham’s historic and iconic Rye Lane. Over the course of a year young people from South London Refugee Association, Southwark’s Youth Justice Service and Inspire Walworth collaborated with artists including Lesley Asare, Tyreis Holder, Meera Shakti Osborne and Koby Martin. Together, they explored community, heritage and identity to reconnect to public spaces on their own terms.
